Category & mode of action:
Selective post-emergence herbicide for the control of broadleaf weeds in cereals (soft and durum wheat, barley). It acts systematically, is absorbed mainly by the foliage and secondarily by the root of the herbs, moves to the extreme meristems, stem and root and prevents their growth. It acts as an inhibitor of the enzyme acetic lactate synthetase (ALS) thereby inhibiting the biosynthesis of amino acids.
